Permission error messages caused by cache/cookies

Certain error messages can be corrected by following this process. These errors typically occur when a user first begins using CostCertified. They are usually caused by the email address originally be used as a client to view a sample proposal from CostCertified. When the same email address is used to login as a contractor, the system will still recognize it as a client so it will restrict access to company features. The following error messages will display when you try to open a proposal, create a client, etc.

Test by opening an incognito window

If you would like to verify the issue before you clear your browser data, you can open a new incognito window: command+shift+N on Mac, control+shift+N on Windows. This will open a window in incognito mode, which will not load or save any cookies, memory cache etc.

If you are able to login and access everything properly, then your browser cache/cookies need to be cleared.

Clearing the data

After clearing the data, log back in to CostCertified and verify that everything is working properly. If you are still having issues, please contact support directly.
