Exporting for Sage Accounting Software

You can export budgets and reports from CostCertified and import them into Sage for record keeping.

Exporting a project budget: This will export the vendor/sub details for a specific project.

  1. Open a proposal and click on the “Budget” tab (left side of the screen).

  2. Click the settings icon in the top right corner. This will launch a pop-up window that will allow you to toggle different budget sections. Note: these columns can also be deleted from the spreadsheet that is exported.

  3. Once you have the toggles set to your preference, close the pop-up and click the “Export” button that is to the left of the settings button. This will generate a .xlsx file of the project budget.

  4. This budget sheet can be adjusted to import the vendor/sub contractor totals for this project into Sage Accounting. NOTE: You will need to have your vendor/subcontractor contacts saved inside of Sage with a reference number assigned to each one. Your vendor list can also be imported into Sage to expedite this process. https://us-kb.sage.com/portal/app/portlets/results/viewsolution.jsp?solutionid=210128223750317&page=1&position=1&q=import

  6. Export the file as a CSV file.

  7. In Sage Accounting, go to the “Expenses” tab and select “Quick Entries.”

  8. This will load your Quick Entries page. On the right side of the screen you can click the arrow to the right of “New Quick Entry” and select “Import Quick Entries.”
