You can display a detailed breakdown of the project costs (to the contractor) and prices (to the customer) before sales tax is added. This is useful for tracking exact prices for tax filing.

  1. Open a project

  2. Go to the bottom of the Estimate tab to the “Totals” area with the various price breakdowns.

  3. Click on the blue icon to the right of “Subtotal”

     

  4. This will display a detailed breakdown of all costs/prices after the project markup but before sales tax has been applied. The cost is how much you paid, and the price is the amount the customer paid with your markup included. It will also show how each section applies to the overall project total as a percentage.
